Hannah Walker

Hannah is a heritage, conservation and design specialist with a wide knowledge of the planning system and development management process. After gaining a BA(Hons) in History from Pembroke College, Oxford she secured an MSc in Historic Conservation from Oxford Brookes University, cementing a longstanding interest and passion for architectural history and the built environment. Hannah is a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.

Much of her 14 years’ experience comes from the public sector, offering clients valuable insights into the planning process from a local authority perspective. Roles in Kent at Ashford Borough Council, the London Borough of Lambeth and more recently the London Borough of Camden, have given Hannah an in-depth understanding and knowledge of heritage planning policy, rural and urban development issues across a huge variety of building typologies and architectural styles, with a particular focus on London terraced houses.

Hannah can provide guidance on proposals for listed buildings, offer design input on development in conservation areas and prepare the heritage statements regularly required by local authorities. Her experience includes involvement in complex redevelopment schemes in sensitive historic environments, major refurbishment and extension projects on listed building and expert witness appearances at public inquiries.
