With 15 years’ experience of both public and private sectors, Clare brings an extensive knowledge of the planning process to assist clients in gaining positive outcomes.
After graduating from the University of Hull in 2000, she worked as a planner at the London Borough of Bexley while completing a part-time MA in Town Planning at the University of Westminster. She has since worked at several other London Borough Councils and also spent five years at a private planning consultancy in Melbourne, Australia.
Clare’s extensive experience includes advising numerous Local Authorities and private clients on a range of schemes including residential developments, mixed use schemes, changes of use, schools, householder developments and residential care homes. Other skills include guiding proposals through pre-application, negotiating with Councils, coordinating consultants, writing planning statements and project-managing applications. She has also dealt with planning appeals, representing both Local Planning Authorities and clients at informal hearings and written representations, S106 and discharge of conditions, and has successfully obtained Certificates of Lawfulness for existing and proposed use developments, and assisted with drafting affidavits and prior approval applications.
