Fuller Long are delighted to welcome and introduce Rosie Foreman!
Since moving to the private sector, Rosie has drawn upon her considerable knowledge to provide her clients with insight into the inner workings of Local Government, enabling her to promote and protect their interests. Her career started working within Local Authority Development Management teams, where she spent the first 13 years of her planning career perfecting her profession, across three District Councils. Since making the move over to the Private sector she is able to draw upon this knowledge base to help her clients succeed.
She became a chartered member of the RTPI, after completing an undergraduate honours degree in Environmental Sciences from Brighton University followed by an MSc in Spatial Planning from Oxford Brookes University.
In particular, the combination of Rosie’s pragmatic, methodical approach and keen understanding of complex planning legislation makes sure her clients are positioned to make the best use of the planning system. Her preferred way of working is to be involved from the inception of developments to allow her to guide her clients through the process of gaining planning permission, to successful completion of the scheme.
Rosie has successfully acted as planning witness at many Public Inquiries and Informal Hearings and has prepared numerous Written Representations Appeal Statements. Her experience includes working in constrained areas, such as the green belt and AONBs, as well as growth areas involving strategic urban extensions on greenfield sites. Rosie has a broad range of experience dealing with large scale major housing and mixed-use schemes through to smaller, however still complex, householder permissions. She has negotiated many s106 agreements and planning obligations in her time in Local Government and understands the complexities of balancing the requirements of the Local Plan and the ability to deliver a viable development.
We pride ourselves on providing our clients with the highest quality of advice and so are excited that Rosie has joined our team of property professionals. If you are in need of planning advice and would like to speak to Rosie about a prospective or ongoing project, please contact us on 0845 565 0281 for a no-obligation conversation.
